She is the daughter of M.D. Olmanson, MD, of St. Peter; granddaughter of Albert Fritsche, MD, of New Ulm, and E.G. Olmanson, MD of St. Peter; and great-granddaughter of Louis Albert Fritsche, MD – the first medical doctor to be licensed in Minnesota (license number 1 in the year 1887).
Dr. McCabe has served as chair of surgical services and president of the medical staff at River’s Edge Hospital and Clinic in St. Peter. McCabe graduated magna cum laude from the Dr. William Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, IL. She completed her surgical residency at Metropolitan-Mount Sinai Hospital in Minneapolis, and became the third female podiatrist to be licensed and practice in Minnesota. Dr. McCabe was appointed to the Board of Podiatric medicine for three terms, serving from 2006 to 2008.
McCabe’s interest in serving on the board traces to mentor Dr. Ann Rotramel, one of the first woman podiatrists. Rotramel was a lover of life, buying a Cadillac at age 95. She passed away at age 97.
Schelli lives with her husband in rural St. Peter, MN and enjoys hiking, horseback riding, skiing, fishing and spending time with her family. They have four grown sons, the youngest is in medical school at the University of Minnesota.
Treatments range from mechanical correction (custom foot orthotics to surgical, both office and hospital sugery: In hospital correction of bunions, hammertoes, etc. In office correction of ingrown toenails, excision fo warts, etc.
We strive to accomodate patients for appointments, and try hard to have little or no waiting time in the office. Same day appointments available whenever possible.
